How long is an audiobook?
Audiobooks vary in length. Each cassette usually holds up to 90 minutes, while CDs hold up to 70 minutes, and a book can have one to 20 or more cassettes/CDs. We carry both unabridged and abridged titles.
UNABRIDGED = the whole book, word for word.
ABRIDGED = a condensed version of the book focusing on its main points.

What kinds of books come on audio?
All kinds, and at TBW Corona, we have more than 25 categories from business, education, humor and self-help to thriller/mystery, biography, history, children's, classics and Christianity. Also, we feature the NY Times top ten, both in fiction and non-fiction, as well as BusinessWeek bestsellers.

Why listen to an audiobook?
Most people listen to audiobooks because they do not have the time to sit and read, or they want to be doing more than one thing at a time.

When is the best time to listen?
ANY TIME! Although there are some who just kick back and listen, the majority of people listen while they are doing something else such as commuting, exercising, gardening, chores or creating.

How much do audiobooks cost?
Audiobooks range in price from under $25 to hundreds of dollars if you purchase them, but you can rent them for pennies a day at TBW Corona.

How do I rent audiobooks at TBW Corona?
To begin renting audiobooks today, simply call us and we'll either take your application over the phone or fax you one. We require the same information as BLOCKBUSTER or HOLLYWOOD video--a driver's license or other ID, and a valid ATM or credit card. However, at TBW, we also will accept a refundable, cash deposit or check. Then search our website for your favorite title and send us an email or call.

How much does it cost to rent an audiobook at TBW?
If you come to Our Store, you can rent on our Occasional Program, which are three and seven-day increments at $5 and $9 per book, respectively. However, if you plan to listen a lot, you can save hundreds of dollars by signing up for a Preferred Program.

What is a Preferred Program?
The Preferred Program, which gives you unlimited access to the store, is designed to provide listeners who are "hooked on books," a convenient and economical way to listen to as many audiobooks as they want by purchasing a block of time for one flat fee. You can change your book(s) out as many times as you want during your block of time. And there are no due dates or late fees during that time.
